Entrant Statement: "Coronal loop"Coronal loop is a well-defined arch-like structure in the Sun's atmosphere made up of relatively dense plasma. These elegant, highly structured rings are the direct consequence of the twisting flow of solar magnetism relative to the surface of the Sun.The spreading of coronal rings is directly linked to the solar cycle, which is why the rings typically appear in conjunction with sunspots, which are visible at the base of the rings.
